In the Nyiragongo territory, particularly in Rusayo, vulnerable households face severe socio-economic and food security challenges. Through the project "Resilient Women: Agricultural Empowerment and Food Security", YCPD ASBL is actively working alongside local women to build sustainable livelihoods.

This initiative provides practical field training in agroecological practices, vegetable gardening, and crop management. By cultivating nutritious local crops and establishing community market gardens, the participating women enhance household nutrition, generate income, and foster long-term community resilience. YCPD teams remain present on the ground to provide continuous technical supervision and support.
